I went down
to a big crap game,
and it certainly was against my will.
I lost every garstron li quor
that I had
but a greenback dollar bill.
A forty dollar bet was laying on the floor,
but my buddy's point was nine.
When the police come,
they grab all of us.
Shoot, I got mine.
Yep, I got mine.
I got mine, I grabbed that money
and out the back door I went flyin'
Ever since that big craft game
I been livin' off of chicken and wine
I'm a leader of the high society
folks since I got mine
Now I know a barbershop over in town,
it's up on old North 4th Street
It's the only place on any Saturday night
that the gamblin' men do meet
I say that some of them
will come for a haircut
And others might come for a scrap
See me and the hillbilly
blues cats up there
We're gonna mean to shoot some craps
We're gonna holla now 7 -11
Won't you come, come, come
And if you don't 7 -11 die some done,
done, done
If I see the police, once they see me
I'm gonna run, run, run
I'm the leader of the high society
of folks since I got mine
Yep, I got mine, let me tell you, I got mine
I got it all, that good sport,
I've been shootin' dice all this time
Some of them boys got thirty days,
others they got nine
Brought those stripes in the
very next morning,
shoot, I got mine
Listen, I went down to a turkey feed
And the dinner isn't certainly fine
Fifteen minutes before the table got set
All the jitterbugs fell in line
When they brought those gobblers out
To shoot the rascals, I did shine
You can talk about a rascal
I grabbed in
And I got mine, yep,
I got mine
I got mine
I grabbed that turkey right by the wing
and out the back door I went flying
I tried to make it to a hiding place
I knew but I did not get there in time
A hungry rascal grabbed me by
my neck and I got mine
Well I went to my best gal's house,
the hour it was just about nine
I wasn't dressed up like old rock bottom
but I was looking like the dog gone fine
I caught her sittin' in Billy Ochoa's lap
And I did not like that sign
I told that rascal what I
thought about him
And I got...
